Dodge Nature Center Studio

We built this Studio at the Dodge Nature Center in St Paul with its surroundings in mind. Not only did we design this tiny structure to fit right in with the natural setting, but it embodies the nature around it with all of the eco friendly materials and methods incorporated in the project. Rather than concrete, the Studio sits on helical piers and insulated floor system. Then we designed our own super insulated, double stud wall system to keep energy consumption at a minimum. We long lasting and maintenance free materials like engineered siding and steel panel roofing. In addition used more natural and recycled building materials wherever we could including, cork, Homasote board, and raw wood. This was a true joy to execute for an amazing institution.
